End of ARPA functionality on COBRA Platforms

We want to provide important details about the upcoming end date and winding down of the ARPA functionality within your COBRA Platform.


Below you will find a full schedule for sunsetting the remaining ARPA functionality.

'QB AEI 2021 Report'

This report will no longer be accessible through the Employer portal. Admins should run a final QB AEI 2021 Report. This will capture all participants and their AEI status as of January 25, 2022.

'AEI 2021 Status Update' 




Utilities >> Administrator Utilities

January 25, 2022

This utility to update the AEI status of a participant will be removed.The utility will no longer be accessible through the Employer portal.


AEI eligible participants entered after January 25, 2022 will need to be administered by using an employer subsidy. Please reach out to your COBRA Administrator for this.

'AEI 2021 Status field'

The AEI 2021 Status field contained the status of Unknown, Eligible, Ineligible.

AEI eligible participants entered after January 25, 2022 will need to be administered by using an employer subsidy. Please reach out to your COBRA Administrator for this.

'AEI 2021 Subsidy Schedule'

The AEI subsidy will not be an available subsidy type once the above functionality is deactivated.

AEI subsidy details on a participant record will be available for viewing and can be edited after January 25, 2022 and will not be deleted.

  

Although the ARPA functionality will be turned off or not visible to employers, details regarding the subsidy will be available on the Subsidy tab, ARPA related notes on the Notes tab, AEI letters on the Communications tab and Premiums paid by the AEI subsidy on the Premiums tab.
