Salary Insights in Compensation Management

On the Salary Insights page, you'll notice a column indicating the Target Salary Range for each worker you've entered. This range is based on your indicated target range for your company's compensation philosophy. If you need to change your target salary range, you can do so at any time.

  1. From the Compensation Management tool, click on the Settings tab.
  2. Select Target Percentile from the left hand menu.
  3. You'll select a lower limit and upper limit to create your range.
If you need help selecting a range, you'll be prompted to answer two questions about the local job market to assist you in determining the best range for you. Then, you'll see a recommended range based on these answers.

We aggregate various levels of data to benchmark and categorize jobs. We first aggregate data based on Industry or Sub-Industry, then retrieve data about state, CSA, city, or country. Finally, data is aggregated from job family or job sub-family.

Depending on the size of the people with a similar job, we gather data from one element of each of these levels. If there is not enough data in each threshold, data will not be shown.

The Salary Percentile column indicates whether the actual data is above, below, or within the target percentile range defined.

No, the current version of Compensation Management only provides base salary data for full time, salaried employees.
