If someone  doesn’ t want to authorize a background check, it is the employer’s responsibility to handle the situation. Zenefits will not block benefits administration or other HR-related tasks. Admins cannot run background checks on prospective hires through Zenefits if they are not hired in the system, but they can run these background checks directly through Checkr.

An administrator can cancel a request for a background check, if need be, but only before the individual authorizes it.
