Max Coverage for Dental Plans

Max coverage is the maximum amount that insurance will pay for dental costs in a single plan year.

For example, if a root canal costs $750, and the dental plan covers 90% of the cost, insurance will pay $675, and the remaining $75 must be paid out of pocket. If max coverage were $900, only $225 remains for the year. When this ceiling is met, all dental costs are out of pocket.
Employees can view their plan's max coverage by clicking on the Dental Insurance application. The maximum coverage is listed under the Benefits Summary on the Dental Overview page.
