What is the difference between In-Network and Out-of-Network Deductibles?
There may be different deductibles for seeing in-network or out-of-network providers.
- Out-of-network deductibles are higher than in-network deductibles in order to incentivize seeing an in-network provider, when possible.
- Plans will likely have different in-network and out-of-network amounts for both individual and family deductibles.
- In-network and out-of-network deductibles will need to be satisfied separately and do not contribute to each other's totals.
