What is a SWIFT Code?

A SWIFT code is an 11-digit alphanumeric code used primarily by financial institutions to identify banks and bank branches. It's also known as a Bank Identifier Code (BIC).

Finding SWIFT Codes

  • An individual can look up his or her bank’s SWIFT/BIC code here.
  • Before using the SWIFT code provided by a worker, please verify it by cross checking with the list of SWIFT codes.
