FAQs About Manager Requests and Approval

All designated approver(s) will receive an email detailing the request. If there are no designated approvers for a certain request, an email will be sent to the main company admin. Email notifications will also be sent to managers impacted by the request.

For example, if an indirect subordinate was to be transferred to another location and report to a new manager, both the current manager and new manager will be notified of this request.

An email notification is sent to the affected employee and any other managers and employees impacted by the change.

For example, if an employee is transferring departments, the employee being transferred, any managers gaining or losing the employee as a subordinate, and any employees who will report to a new manager as a result of the transfer will be notified.

In the event of a termination request is approved, email notifications are only sent to the requesting approver and the terminated employee's direct manager. An email notification will not be sent to the terminated employee.

When a request is declined, approvers must provide a reason for declining the request. An email detailing the reason for the declined request will be sent to the requestor and any managers who would have been impacted by the change.

For example, if an employee is transferring departments, the employee being transferred, any managers gaining or losing the employee as a subordinate, and any employees who will report to a new manager as a result of the transfer will be notified.

In the event of a termination request is denied, email notifications are only sent to the requesting approver and the terminated employee's direct manager. An email notification will not be sent to the terminated employee.

If a request is auto-declined due to a lack of a response, the original requestor must begin the process again.

When submitting a request, managers can specify an effective date for the change or request the change go into effect immediately upon approval.

If a date is specified, and the request is approved before that date, the change will be effective on that date. If the request is approved after the specified date, the change goes into effect immediately.

If no date is specified, the request is effective immediately after approval.
