How Time Off Waiting Periods Affect New Hires

New hires who are subject to time off waiting periods will be provided with additional information regarding their company's waiting period policies and processes in their time off dashboard.

• Workers whose companies have waiting periods for time off will receive a notification in their Time Off page.
• Selecting the link in the notification will provide them with additional information about their company's time off waiting period and the type of time-off requests they are currently able to submit.
• If someone wants to request time off, they can select the Request Time Off option. The ability to request time-off will vary depending on if that time is unpaid or paid

  • For unpaid time off – someone can submit time off request for any start and end dates

  • For paid time off – you can only submit time off requests with a start date that is after the date their waiting period has expired
