Why am I being prompted to enter in hours of service from years ago?
This has to do with the company’s measurement and stability periods. In order to determine who is eligible for insurance during the stability period, we must first look at all hours worked during the measurement period. As these are both 12 month periods, we may need to look at hours worked from multiple years ago.
For example, if the company’s Stability Period is July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020, and they have an Administrative period of 30 days, the corresponding Measurement Period would be June 1, 2018 - May 31, 2019.
