What is CCPA?

CCPA, or the California Consumer Privacy Act, relates “to the access of, deletion of, and sharing of personal information that is collected by businesses.” Read more about the CCPA on its official site.

CCPA is a consumer privacy law in California that was passed in June of 2018 and became effective on Jan 1 2020. The law gives rights to California residents over their personal information, and applies to entities that handle their information.

Since Zenefits handles personal information for California residents, Zenefits, as a business, has an obligation to provide those eligible their CCPA rights.
