How to Set Up an Unlimited PTO Policy

On an Unlimited PTO plan workers can request as much PTO as they would like, subject to a manager's approval. Workers do not accrue hours.

Unlimited policies require the least amount of setup. Employers will have to track usage and approve requests, but will not have to pay out unused PTO.

To create an unlimited PTO policy for the first time, click the Time Off app.

To create an unlimited PTO policy if a previous policy exists:

  1. Click the Time Off app
  2. Select Settings in the top navigation bar.
  3. Click +Add Policy
  4. Name the policy, and click Create Policy.
  5. Once you get to rules setup, you will have to option to select Unlimited.
