Will I still get a W-2 if my company went out of business, or stopped using Zenefits Payroll?
If your company stops using Zenefits Payroll, but continues to use Zenefits for HR purposes, you will have access to your W-2 in the Documents section of your Personal Information app.
If your company stops using Zenefits completely, you may or may not maintain access to your Zenefits account. If you continue to have access to your Zenefits account, you’ll be able to access your W-2 in the Documents section of your Personal Information app.
If you do not maintain access to your Zenefits account, you’ll be able to get your W-2 from your administrator.
If the company has gone out of business, W-2s will be sent to the company's administrator for disbursement. Since account access will not be maintained, you’ll be able to get your W-2 from your former administrator.
